The Subject - If I could fly.
Title - If I Was A Bird.
Hi my name is Flynn. I am going to show about birds and if people could fly.
Did you know a Kea could eat a live sheep.
Firstly it would be better if we could fly because we could fly to school instead of mum coming to school to pick you up everyday.
Secondly, you could fly across a busy road instead of waiting for cars to stop.
Thirdly, you can sneak out of the house.
Birds Birds Birds. I Love Birds.
(Remember this is Flynns first draft of his ideas.)

THE BEGINNING.
Welcome to Room2's New Blog. This will be a work in progress as the class begins to learn how to blog and share their work and experiences with their Whanau and "Safe Global" audience. This site will have many changes and 'learning experiences' as we travel through the next couple of terms. We hope it will be
* an extension of our classroom
* a place the class will visit in later years to remember their time in Room 2
* FUN.
Please pop in and make comments. We would love to hear from YOU

Endangered NZ Bird Project.
Hi!
I'm Maggie.
In class this term we have been learning about endangered NZ birds. We did a brainstorm on the board and came up with some questions.
*How did these birds become endangered?
*What are their predators?
*When did they become endangered?
*How can we save our endangered birds?
I went on the internet and found some more endangered birds.
Here are 8 more that I found.
*Black robin(254)
*Orange-fronted-parakeet(100-200)
*Storm petrel(206)
*Chatham Island taiko(150)
*Campbell Island teal(153)
*Chatham Island shags(unknown)
*Island mollymawk(50)
Did you know that there is only 23 Black stilt birds left?
It is very important we look after the environment so that we can help these birds as well as many other ones. Some birds you can help may not even be in NZ.
Look after the environment whenever you can,
Check in to our blog again soon,
Thank you,
Maggie.
